Experts say bats are beneficial to our environment. We talked to Rob Mies from the Organization for Bat Conservation at the Cranbrook Institute in Detroit. The group has been around for more than 20 years and is dedicated to protecting bats. Mies says it's common for bats to live in buildings because their natural homes are gone, "Bats would typically live in big old trees. In a lot of areas the trees aren't there anymore or wetlands have been cut down.
